What we know about you.

Coaching only works if you tell us honest things about your body. This page says exactly what we hold, who can see it, and how to make it go away. No legal padding.

The short version

Your coach can see everything you put into the app. Nobody else can. We do not sell your information, we do not advertise to you, and we do not share your training data or your photos with anyone outside Kinetic Forge — with one exception that you choose: if you turn on AI answers, the parts described under AI answers go to Anthropic and OpenAI so they can write them. You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time — in the app, or on this website without the app.

What you give us when you apply

The application form asks for your name, email address, phone number, your goals, your training experience, any injuries, and any dietary restrictions. It also asks how you heard about us. We keep this so your coach can decide whether they are the right fit for you and, if you become a client, so your first program is built around your actual situation rather than a guess.

If we do not take you on as a client, your application stays on file so we have a record of the conversation. Write to us and we will delete it.

What we collect once you are training

Your account holds:

  • Who you are — name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, time zone, and a profile photo if you add one. Date of birth and gender are used to work out training loads and nutrition targets, not for anything else.
  • Your training — every workout you log, the weight and reps of every set, your personal records, and which program you are on.
  • Your body — the weight and measurements you record, and your check-in answers about sleep, energy, soreness and stress.
  • Your photos and videos — progress photos if you choose to take them, and any video you send for a form review. These are the most personal thing in the app and they are treated that way: see below.
  • Your food — anything you log in the nutrition section.
  • Your messages — the conversation between you and your coach.
  • Your phone, for alerts — if you turn on notifications in the iPhone app, we keep a token that lets us send alerts to that phone: a reminder on the days you train, your weekly summary, and an alert when Delan replies to you. It does not tell us anything else about your phone, and signing out of the app stops the alerts to it.

Your photos

Progress photos and form-review videos are stored privately. Your coach can see them because that is the point of sending them. No other client can see them, they are not public, they are not used in marketing, and they are never shown to anyone else without asking you first — every time, not once.

You can delete any photo from inside the app, and deleting your account deletes all of them: your progress photos and form-review videos, and your profile photo too, are removed from storage, not just hidden.

Who can see your information

Your coach. That is the whole list of people. Coaches only see the clients assigned to them — one coach cannot see another coach's clients.

There is no public or shared area in the app. Nothing you log, write or photograph is visible to another client.

AI answers, only if you turn them on

Two things in the app can be written by AI: Ask the guide, which answers training questions from Delan's guide, and the short note at the top of your weekly summary. Both are off until you turn them on. Before anything is sent, the app tells you what will go where and asks.

When AI answers are on:

  • Ask the guide sends your question, the earlier questions and answers in the same conversation, and your daily food targets (calories, protein, carbs and fat) to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, which writes the answer. Your question also goes to OpenAI, which is used only to find the pages of Delan's guide that match it.
  • The weekly summary sends that week's numbers — how many workouts you did, the total weight you lifted, and any personal records — to Anthropic, which writes the short note. The numbers on the card are worked out by Kinetic Forge, not by the AI.

Under their terms for businesses, neither company uses what we send to train its AI, and both delete it within 30 days (longer only if the law requires it or it is flagged for misuse). Delan does not see your Ask the guide questions; to ask him something, use the Coach tab.

You can turn AI answers off at any time: open Settings, then Privacy and security, then AI answers. From then on nothing more is sent, and your weekly summary shows your numbers without the note.

Delan's own tools use AI too: when he builds a program on the website, the workout he types into the program builder is sent to Anthropic to lay it out as a program. It holds only what he types.

Where it is kept, and who helps us keep it

Your account and training data live in a hosted database run by Supabase. Your photos live in that same service's private file storage. The app itself is hosted by Vercel. Both companies can technically reach the servers your data sits on, as any hosting company can, and both are bound by their own agreements not to use it.

The app does not take payments. Billing is arranged directly with Delan, so the app never sees or stores your card details.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. If you stop training with us and do nothing else, your account and its history stay as they are, so that if you come back your progress is still there. If you would rather it did not, delete your account or write to us.

Deleting your account

In the iPhone app, open More, then Settings, then Privacy and security, and press Delete account. Without the app, sign in on this website and follow the same steps. The delete your account page has every step, and what to do if you cannot sign in.

Either way, this removes your profile, your training history, your measurements and check-ins, your food log, your messages, your weekly summaries, and every photo and video you uploaded. It cannot be undone, and we cannot get it back for you afterwards.

The app holds no payment records, because billing is arranged with Delan directly, so nothing about your body or your training stays behind. If you applied before you became a client, that application is kept separately; write to us and we will delete it too.

Teens and children

Kinetic Forge is for people 13 and older. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's agreement to sign up, and we keep a record of their date of birth and when that agreement was given.

A parent or guardian can ask us at any time what we hold about their teen, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete the account — write to jchanny30@gmail.com.

We do not knowingly take on anyone under 13. If you believe someone under 13 has an account, tell us and we will remove it and what it holds.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or who can see it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app rather than hoping you re-read this.

Getting in touch

For anything at all about your data — a copy of it, a correction, a deletion, or just a question — write to jchanny30@gmail.com. A person reads it.

Our terms of service cover the coaching side of the relationship.

Questions about any of this?

Write to us and a person will answer. We aim to reply within a couple of working days.
